The firm

Bujumbura, Burundi

One point of contact, from start to finish

MABEVO supports Burundian entrepreneurs and foreign investors. We carry the file from the first question through to a company that is formed, protected, funded and operating.

§ 01

Why we exist

Why we exist

Starting a business in Burundi almost never fails on the idea. It fails on coordination: an accountant who does not talk to the lawyer, a bank file refused over one missing document, a trademark registered by someone else while the company was being set up. Each party answers for their own patch, and nobody holds the full sequence. That sequence is what we hold.

§ 02

Our method

Our method

A MABEVO engagement always follows the same ten stages. The content changes from one client to the next, the structure does not — that is what makes progress legible, for you and for us.

  • A diagnosis before a quote

We price nothing before understanding the project. The first conversation is free and you leave with the applicable sequence, even if you do not work with us.

  • One owner per file

A named person carries your file end to end. You do not re-explain your project on every call.

  • Visible progress

The ten stages, their status, what comes next and what we need from you. No grey area about where a file stands.

  • Reserved acts handled by those entitled to

Anything that falls to a licensed legal professional goes to them, and is validated by them. You keep a single point of contact.

§ 04

What we do not do

What we do not do

A firm that claims to do everything does nothing well. Here are the limits, to avoid expensive misunderstandings.

  • We do not guarantee that funding will be granted. We make a file defensible; the decision belongs to the funder.
  • We do not promise administrative timelines. We hold the schedule for what depends on us.
  • We do not do bookkeeping or tax filings. We work with accountants, we do not replace them.
  • We do not take on a file whose object is plainly unworkable. We say so at the diagnosis, before you spend anything.

§ 05

Who we work with

Who we work with

From the idea to the first invoice.

  • Established SMEs

    Structuring, brand protection, funding growth.

  • Foreign investors

Setting up from abroad, with someone on the ground.

  • Organisations and donors

    Technical proposals, reporting, tender responses.

§ 06

The framework we work in

The framework we work in

Trademark filings, corporate formalities and contractual structures each follow precise frameworks. These are the ones we file and operate within.
